The VAT department is looking to hire someone fluent in German and English, with good solid VAT compliance experience, who can join their friendly and successful team.
The role in brief:
Submitting VAT returns, EC sales and Intrastat in a timely fashion, ensuring accuracy and consistency of returns and declarations are made
Ensuring that your client portfolio reporting deadlines are met
Maintaining and developing relationships with agents and various tax authorities
Completing compliance checklists in respect of all jobs and following all quality control procedures
Carrying out appropriate review of declarations prepared by colleagues before declarations are filed, based on risk
Liaising with agents and tax authorities and using other sources of information in order to identify changes regarding VAT and Intrastat for countries of responsibility in conjunction with relevant senior team member
Ensuring that clients are aware of relevant regulatory changes regarding VAT and Intrastat in countries of responsibility
Keeping your manager aware of any issues regarding clients, agents & reporting
Seeking out VAT technical news relating to countries of responsibility and drafting VAT news stories
Actively participating in all compliance meetings
