This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced and innovative organisation as a UK Tax Manager, and will offer the successful individual the opportunity to work on a range of tasks across the UK business. Providing tax compliance services within the UK region, the UK Tax Manager will help to maintain the Group's low risk status with HMRC. The successful UK Tax Manager will also be required to provide support to the business in tax advisory and international tax projects. This is a mixed tax role which would be an ideal first or second move out of practice for a Tax Assistant Manager looking for a more challenging position.
Key Responsibilities of the UK Tax Manager
* Management of the Corporation Tax Compliance cycle including reviewing R&D tax relief claims and maintaining accurate transfer pricing documentation
* Delivery of tax provisions under IFRS as part of the quarterly reporting cycle and year end statutory reporting
* Providing assistance to support the Employment tax function
* Managing the VAT Compliance process
* Supporting the business in commercial pursuits including tax review of commercial contracts and deal structure.
Person Profile of the UK Tax Manager
* Qualified ACCA/ACA/CA/CTA with post-qualification experience in a tax setting.
* Good tax technical skills, with a solid background in compliance.
* Proactive and enthusiastic approach to their work with the ability to work to deadlines with an attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to form strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HMRC, Group Tax and external advisors.
