In-house Expatriate Tax Analyst, Fortune 500, to £35k + excellent benefits

This is a broad position covering expatriate/mobility tax, immigration and employment tax issues. If you are ATT qualified and have an expatriate tax background, gained working at a Big 4 or Top 10 firm, but wish to make a move into a more commercial environment then this could be the ideal role for you. Individuals with a personal tax background wishing to develop into this area would also be considered. As well as the chance to broaden your experience, this position offers an unrivalled work/life balance. You will spend the first 6 months office based and then 4 days a week from home, one day in the office thereafter. Attention to detail, the ability to use initiative and to work in a logical, structured organised manner will be essential qualities for the success of this position.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Tax planning & advice for global  compensation & benefit plans, employees, contractors etc.
Setting policy, responding to escalations, and managing the tax vendor for domestic tax compliance programs.
M&A support for equity plans, cross-border employee tax and immigration issues
Reviewing regulatory filings and tax disclosures for equity plans, IPO shares, board and executive officer compensation.
New country start-up.
Interpreting cross-border tax regulations and setting mobility related tax policy, positions and processes.
Setting controls points to ensure Tax Mobility Delivery Services reflect the tax positions signed off.
Providing internal advice and expertise on effective tax and finance planning for mobility programs and individual assignments.
Developing and maintaining tax related planning and advisory tools (BCAT,  FACT).
Managing mobility tax controversy.
Acting as the escalation point for immigration controversy.
Maintaining immigration policy and positions.
Managing immigration vendor contracts.
Developing and implementing standards and controls to ensure compliance with signed off positions.
Managing relationships and communications with external parties.
Developing training for stakeholders.
Dealing with cost estimates for complex assignees.
Tax services for assignees & engagement including tax vendor management:
Oversight of tax compliance program, cost estimate & tax accrual processes
Developing and implementing standards & controls to ensure compliance with the company’s tax positions
Financial analysis of mobility policies and policy exceptions.
