The candidate will be an integral part of a small, partner led team, assisting with the on-going compliance responsibilities associated with formal statutory insolvency appointments undertaken by the firm (often involving the analysis of complex transactions) whilst also providing support to managers on advisory projects and transactions undertaken by the team.
Job Description:

A great opportunity for a tax trained professional looking to move into a function that provides them with strategic business insight and the ability to 'see the bigger picture' in their approach to work.

The team work closely with their insolvency counterparts and require a tax professional from a corporate or business tax background to assist the function's growth.

Markets
• you'll build an understanding of the key commercial and risk issues relevant to each appointment / assignment

• you'll provides general support to colleagues and clients in the provision of tax advice

Tax Delivery

• you'll provide general support to colleagues in the provision of tax advice

• you'll prepare tax returns and computations in accordance with agreed timescales; ensures the efficient and risk managed delivery of compliance

• you'll support managers on restructuring transactions, fraud investigation cases and other ad hoc advisory projects

• you'll produce well supported technical research

• you'll regularly communicate directly with HMRC

• you'll review tax returns, computations and correspondence produced by junior colleagues

Technical competence
• you'll demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant area of work (training regarding any insolvency aspects will be provided)

• you'll seek solutions to technical issues and demonstrates a willingness to understand and recognise the breadth of possible technical issues


People
• you'll be an approachable and outgoing member of the team who takes a proactive interest in the team's performance and wellbeing

• you'll coach and develops junior members of the team

Ideally you will have obtained your ACA, ACCA, ATT (or equivalent) qualification and be looking to undertake your CTA to develop further.
