Indirect Tax Advisor- In House - London

Our client is a top leading Bank looking to hire a VAT Advisor to join their team in London.

This role comprises both assisting and managing UK VAT compliance requirements and providing VAT advisory services across the full spectrum of financial services, dealing with investment banking issues, asset and fund management, wealth management, property, and procurement

The nature of the role is mainly focused in the UK, but also requires consideration of VAT across the EMEA region.

The successful candidate will be required to advise and assist front office and support staff in a wide range of matters including, reviewing corporate finance mandates, supporting/managing UK VAT projects, managing and agreeing VAT policy, working with business lines to discuss new products, attending client and vendor meetings, managing EU VAT positions, analysing VAT exemptions...

Requirements

 Qualified (Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA or equivalent).
 Confident individual prepared to question and challenge where appropriate.
 Strong academic background and the ability to remain up to date with case law and legal changes.
 Experience supporting Financial Services with tax advice not required but would be advantageous
