Tax Manager / Tax Senior, Ely

Large, regional accountancy practice seeking a Tax accountant for Ely office.

Hays Taxation are recruiting a Tax professional for a leading Accountancy Practice, to work directly with the Tax Partner, in the provision of high quality compliance services for a range of private clients including high net worth individuals, directors of small and medium sized companies and Trustees.

Key Activities;
Tax Preparation, drafting and finalising self-assessment tax returns for individuals and trusts including capital gains computations and preparation of schedules of income from property and small income and expenditure accounts where necessary.
Review the progress of tax return preparation and payment of tax through the tax cycle.
Production of P11D's, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion.
Input to Tax User Group Meetings and action points arising.
Identify and highlight tax planning opportunities for clients.
Assist Payroll Department with year-end only payrolls.
Client Management and Business Development, responsible for own portfolio
Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
Mentor, supervise and coach junior staff.
Provide technical assistance to non-tax staff.
Participate in internal / external meetings as required.
