Indirect Tax Senior Manager - In house FTSE 30 - London, to £110k + 15% cash, car allowance, Living allowance

Our FTSE 30 client is looking to hire a Senior VAT professional to lead a team of UK tax professionals & to provide UK and international indirect tax advice. Leadership skills are a must for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be responsible for leading a tax team and managing priorities across the team's areas of accountability. Specifically demonstrating the leadership framework:

* Valuing expertise: Applying business rigour, respect for professional excellence, generating talent and developing capability; developing necessary professional capability and technical expertise.

* Energizing people: Motivating, inspiring others, fostering teamwork, integrating diverse perspectives and encouraging honest feedback.

* Acting decisively: Setting clear direction, priorities and boundaries, demonstrating relentless drive, making tough decisions and doing the right thing for our client

* Delivering results: Managing risk, efficient operations, standardisation, simplification, reducing complexity, driving continuous improvement and managing performance whilst executing against demanding competitive benchmarks

Management of relevant Indirect Tax Compliance Framework controls to ensure the effective management of risk and improvement of efficient Group processes.

* Co-ordination with other Group Tax advisors, in particular establishing close working relationships with US and European indirect tax teams.

* Design and operation of effective risk management processes to manage key risks. Development and delivery of training to the businesses to educate decision makers and financial reporting personnel on the relevant tax matters to improve compliance.
