VAT Manager

A VAT Manager job based in Glasgow and paying up to £50k

This Scotland based CA firm are currently going from strength to strength and work with a diverse range of clients. They have excellent training and development in place for staff at all levels and the have experienced success in developing commercially focused finance professionals; this is demonstrated by a number of high profile promotions within the firm. This role has arisen due to continued growth within the firm.

Your new role

You will be assisting clients with VAT returns and other HMRC forms. Advising clients on international VAT accounting. This role will involve managing and developing client relationships by promoting and leading the service delivery to clients by providing proactive advice. You will participate in the client tendering and pitching process. Support practice development/marketing events, as required, to promote the firm, remaining up-to-date on VAT and industry developments and issues.

What you'll need to succeed

Relevant previous experience required CTA qualified is advantageous
Knowledge of Public Sector is preferred but not essential
Effective team-working skills
Effective planning and organising skills to ensure that the varied workload is managed effectively
Good communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels
IT literate; good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Self motivated
