Interim Treasury Risk job within a leading global business, based in Glasgow and paying up to £65k

Your new role

This role will involve the strategic management of all Group Treasury risks in order to protect the company assets and maximise efficiencies in the WGS risk management framework. Accurate and timely accounting and reporting of treasury risk management activities to support business decision making, highlighting risks, sensitivities and dependencies and generating strategies for risk mitigation.

You will Develop and execute the strategy for treasury risk management, including the identification of financial risk across the business, the generation of mitigating actions (including any natural hedge opportunities) and bringing appropriate proposals for consideration to the Treasury Committee. You will Manage the global funding position in order to minimise overall borrowing requirements while ensuring adequate cash availability at entity level to meet local requirements. Develop strategies in co-ordination with Group Tax to optimise these positions.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified accountant with strong risk management and financial control background, experience of global insurance programmes would be desirable. A strong communicator with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-accountants. Treasury experience including the development and maintenance of external financing relationships and the development of treasury reporting. International exposure in a multi-currency environment would be advantageous
