With operations across the globe in both upstream and trading my client is taking the opportunity to transform their finance operations due to the challenges in facing the sector. Due to this, they are looking to take on a project specialist to lead the SAP implementation across tax.
Description
In leading this project, the successful candidate will have a broad remit across the business to complete the project rollout with a responsibility including but not limited to the following areas:
* Collaborate with other departments on internal projects relevant to tax and take leadership over ensuring tax concerns are managed effectively
* Implement and ensure effective management of tax operations including developing, documenting and implementing policies relevant to tax across all areas of the tax function including tax strategy, tax operations, planning and risk management
* Monitor existing practices and processes with an eye to identify process improvements and enhancements across all areas of operations
* Manage and review controls for tax processes with regard to risk management and efficiency
* Manage implementation and documentation of processes and system enhancements across the project including corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, employment taxes and transfer pricing
* Assist tax department with planning, compliance, advice and reporting where required
* Assist and collaborate with other business units across the business to provide tax relevant information and support
* Assist senior tax management with support and projects where needed

* Professionally qualified
* SAP experience is essential
* Project experience is an advantage
* Major multinational or top tier professional services experience is highly advantageous
