An entertainment company in New York City is currently seeking a new International Tax Attorney for a great opportunity with their staff. In this role, the International Tax Attorney is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Global Tax in establishing regional and worldwide tax strategy and implementing the approved strategies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Assist the Vice President of Global Tax with establishing worldwide tax strategies aligned with the commercial strategy and structure, including working with Legal Department in monitoring compliance with tax policies & procedures to maintain appropriate level of “substance”
• Work with Legal to ensure all necessary intercompany agreements are properly executed to support the commercial and tax treatment
• Advise the business of potential tax implications of material third party agreements and ensure appropriate tax clauses are included
• Review and provide advice regarding indirect tax positions
• Implement and maintain Global Transfer Pricing Policies and Documentation
• Proactively collaborate with the business and provide support to ensure commercial and tax objectives are achieved
• Advise US and foreign offices on the tax implications of international operations, as well as coordinating US tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy
• Assist in determining, supporting and documenting various tax incentives, including US, Canadian and UK tax credits
• Support Global Tax Department in overseeing international tax compliance and working with the company's foreign affiliates and advisors, where appropriate
• Work with advisors to establish strategy for local audits and review all responses and submissions to local tax authorities
• Review business operations to reduce PE and Nexus risk and ensure appropriate tax compliance
• Monitor proposed and new legislation and determine potential impact and mitigation strategies available to the Company
• Assist with the financial and tax evaluation of potential business development initiatives
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 7+ years of International Tax Planning experience
• Juris Doctor
• Solid analytical and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
