Direct Tax Senior Manager, Global Insurance Group, to £110k

This is a new Senior Manager role within the Tax Team of globally recognisable insurance group. The successful candidate will be based in London and will have day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of direct tax for The Corporation and wider team with queries on taxation across the globe.

Key responsibilities will be to:
• Lead on all aspects of UK direct tax reporting and compliance

•Ring-master employment tax advice to support HR and Payroll

•Manage up to three tax-trained members of the Team

•Build and leverage tax advisory contacts

•Manage correspondence, lobbying and liaison with HMRC on UK tax matters

•Manage technical and policy issues arising

Ideally you will have:
•ACA, CTA or similar qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)

•Solid grounding in UK tax including tax reporting and an awareness of significant EU and non-EU direct tax issues

•Experience of dealing with international tax issues e.g. double taxation relief, permanent establishment, tax residence, Treaty analysis, transfer pricing

•Knowledge of the insurance industry

•A good network of contacts within the insurance sector – advisers, in-house tax teams etc.
