A technology company in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Tax Associate for a promising Entry Level position with their growing staff. In this role, the Entry Level Tax Associate will be responsible for preparing Federal and State partnership tax returns utilizing GoSystem Tax specific to hedge funds and fund of funds.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Entry Level Tax Associate will be responsible for:

Calculating & preparing foreign tax witholding tax forms
Preparing quarterly tax estimates
Preparing year-end projections
Preparing book to tax income and expense adjustments
Helping with the preparation of tax work papers
Helping prepare portfolio tax analysis, including: Wash Sales, Constructive sales; Straddles; Market Discount; Swaps - bullet and NPC; and, K-1 summary analysis
Reconciliation of cumulative book/tax differences
Collecting documentation to support tax return filings

REQUIRED SKILLS

1+ year of Tax experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Working knowledge of GoSystem Tax
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively

Desired Skills

Master’s Degree in Accounting and/or Taxation
