A financial services company in California has a promising Director position awaiting an experienced Tax professional with their growing Tax Department. In this role, the Tax Director will be responsible for overseeing tax structuring / placement / compliance / review and assessing tax leakage.

The Tax Director will be responsible for:
Engaging with investment professionals, compliance and tax advisors to assist in structuring investments & products
Keeping abreast of pertinent domestic and international tax pronouncements and developments
Overseeing firms international, federal, state and local tax compliance
Understanding and own Tax provisions in all Products
Owning the final release of the last dollar distributed to an investor
Overseeing the management company tax payments and tax planning
Documenting all policies
Acting as a liaison with the company's Financial Operations team on tax accounting issues for the funds
Coordination with the company's Client Operations team on responding to investors’ inquiry and managing investors expectation on tax issues
Assisting corporate controller with tax an planning and tax related cash projections
REQUIRED SKILLS
8+ years of Partnership Tax experience out of a Public Accounting and/or Private Industry
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
CPA
Previous Managerial / Supervisory experience
Microsoft Excel proficient
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized *LI-HD#ACCT
Desired Skills
Previous experience in a Funds of Funds setting
Hedge Funds / Private Equity or Real Estate and Natural Resource experience
