The company
Our client is a US listed blue chip services based in the heart of the City. Due to a recent acquisition, the business have created a new regional VAT Manager position to support the Indirect Tax Director . Working across the firms EMEA business operations, this role will entail a mixture of advisory, compliance and project responsibilities. This is an ideal in-house opportunity for any VAT specialist coming from a services background.
The role
* Advise business units to VAT issues, ensuring tax risk is managed appropriately for all transactions.
* Oversee preparation and submission EMEA VAT compliance, working closely with local finance teams and local tax vendors.
* Contribute ideas to the VAT/Indirect Tax strategy of the wider group.
* Review business unit and group level VAT returns.
* Identify and implement VAT process/system improvements where possible.
* Provide ad hoc support to other tax team members where required
About you
In order to succeed in this challenging role, it is expected that you will have:
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
* Have a Services related background, ideally with some Property experience.
