Interim VAT Manager, Technology Leader, Surrey, to £400 per day

The company

Our client a global technology leader is looking to hire an interim VAT Manager to join the UK arm of their business. Due to changes within the team this role will start as a rolling interim opportunity. The business is working on rapid expansion and market growth in the UK and as such are pushing the UK brand to new markets.

The role

Reporting to the UK Head of Tax your role will be to ensure all VAT filing requirements, manage the VAT process and controls as well as providing VAT advice to the business. As a fast moving environment this role will require extensive advisory work the business with constant contact with business managers.

* Manage VAT compliance for the UK and specific European businesses
* Work across the business including the European Tax team on managing and understanding the correct VAT treatment and accounting for the business.
* Manage queries related to HMRC
* Provide indirect tax report to the commercial side of the business including impact of new product lines, supply chain issues and approaches into new target markets.

About you

You will have sound knowledge of UK VAT legislation and compliance issues as well as solid experience of industry sectors involving cross boarder movements of goods. Experience using SAP is advantageous and good Excels skills are essential.
