Interim VAT Manager, Real Estate Business

This international real estate business has an opening for a VAT Manager to join the tax department on an interim basis. The list of duties and responsibilities are as follows:

* Good hands on knowledge of Oracle and other systems.
* Responsible for accurate preparation and timely submission of the UK VAT return and monthly VAT returns
* Dealing with HMRC and other statutory bodies on VAT compliance matters
* Responsible for preparing the Partial Exemption calculation/Capital goods scheme
* Review and documentation of the VAT compliance processes to meet SAO requirements
* Dealing with queries raised by the business and finance teams regarding the new VAT systems
* Overseeing the investigation and resolution of live VAT issues within the new financial system
* Closely working with finance and IT teams to provide systems support for VAT process improvements
* Providing training to the business and finance teams
