Reporting to the Director of Tax, the successful candidate will possess a mix of UK and EU VAT technical knowledge plus hands-on compliance experience.
The role is broad. An example of some key responsibilities to include maintaining VAT compliance & risk management process controls, managing tax systems issues and offering indirect tax support to the commercial side of the business. This includes for example providing advice regarding the indirect tax impact of new product lines or markets being targeted.
This position will receive support from two (indirect tax) consultants based overseas, offering you the chance to develop some management experience although you don't need to have managed someone in the past.
It is important you have a good understanding of EU VAT legislation (not just UK). No prior VAT systems / processes experience is necessary but you must have an enquiring mind & be willing to learn new skills.
