VAT Compliance Accountant, Middlesex

Since their launch almost 10 years ago, the Group has expanded significantly through a combination of strong organic growth of its core business and a series of acquisitions and joint ventures across multiple jurisdictions. The rapid growth is set to continue with primary focus on international development.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VAT Compliance Accountant to join the Group's finance team due to the ongoing growth and success of the business. The successful incumbent will take responsibility on a contract basis for managing VAT compliance and monthly reconciliations across the group.

Key responsibilities:

* Preparation of the UK VAT return.
* Review of overseas VAT returns.
* Review of monthly VAT reconciliations.
* Implementation and improvement of VAT processes.
* VAT compliance for all entities (UK and overseas).
* Assist with VAT audits.
* Assist in managing relationships with external advisors.
* Supporting the Oracle implementation from a VAT perspective.

About you

The ideal candidate will be tax qualified, and have:

* Experience of preparing/reviewing both UK and overseas VAT returns.
* Experience of reviewing and improving VAT processes.
* Experience of effectively managing external (or other) advisers and consultants.
* The desire and ability to innovate and to tackle challenges positively and creatively.
