Page Executive Tax are working with a household named Financial Services organisation with significant international operations, offering its clients, investors and customers diverse solutions, services and products globally.

Reporting to the CFO and managing a small team you will have ownership of all the Tax affairs of the group in the UK including direct and indirect tax compliance and planning, transfer pricing and employment taxes.

Indeed, you will review and oversee the work of your team in these areas but will look to add value yourself by working with the business and senior management group on areas such as; transactions, international planning, M&A, front office support. More specifically you will have responsibility for:

• Advise and assist the businesses and support functions in all tax related matters
• Build relationships with UK businesses and strengthen business knowledge (banking, lease, commercial finance)
• Ensure that the UK’s tax processes and procedures reflect changes to legislation, internal policy and changes to Group's UK businesses
• Ensure that organisation operates in a tax efficient manner subject to the Group’s tax risk appetite
• Ensure that tax risks and exposures are detected, reported and remedied in a timely manner.
• Ensure all UK tax compliance responsibilities are carried out in an efficient and timely manner
• Monthly financial reporting of UK group entities tax figures
• Preparation / review of tax disclosures within UK financial statements
• Effective use of external advisors
• Liaison with overseas colleagues on cross border issues and monthly financial reporting
• Advising the UK Executive Committee on structural changes including new business lines/products
• Oversight of all UK VAT issues
• Maintain the relationship with HM Revenue & Customs
• Promote tax awareness within business lines

You will be a qualified and experienced Financial Services Tax professional. Strong candidates coming out of the profession for the first time will be considered but there will be a definite preference for in house experience already.

Up to £130,000 plus bonus and benefits.
