Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support the Tax Manager focusing on UK and some EU corporation tax reporting and compliance. This position will be based in the UK Head Office on Holborn Viaduct, London and will primarily be responsible for assisting with UK and Ireland tax reporting (corporation tax returns & tax accounting) as well as the international aspects of the US GAAP worldwide income tax provision.

This position will also be responsible for working with the Tax Manager to support the US and international tax controversy teams on audits and the international tax team on the compliance and reporting aspects of projects (including M&A and integration).

Primary job duties include:
· UK corporation tax return compliance
· Non-US income tax accounting under US GAAP, IFRS, FRS 101 / 102, etc.
· Assist in the review of tax planning ideas to determine impacts to worldwide tax provision
· Assist in the review of international aspects of Amazon’s worldwide tax provision
· Research effects of various international transactions
· Support international tax compliance and reporting aspects of mergers and acquisitions (due diligence and integration)
· Support US and international tax controversy teams on tax audits
· Drive process improvements and coordinate with Tax Technology Team to facilitate streamlining and automation of recurring calculations
· Management of outside service providers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· Significant knowledge of UK corporation tax
· Experience of FRS 101 / FRS 102 required
· University Degree
· Experience working in a Big 4 accountancy practice or multinational corporate tax department
· Strong project management skills
· Strong tax operational background and ability to drive process improvements
· Ability to multitask and work as part of a global team.
· Highly motivated and able to communicate with people at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience of US GAAP and IFRS preferred
· ACA and/or CTA preferred
· Experience with One Source and Oracle Financial Applications helpful
