The Senior Proposition Manager – Indirect Taxes, EMEA will be responsible for the leadership and tactical and strategic direction of the Indirect Tax Compliance and Determination products in the EMEA market. They will accelerate business performance by identifying and delivering on growth initiatives and will work closely with the sales, marketing, product management, technology and client services functions of the business.

The successful candidate will have significant domain knowledge. They will ensure that the ‘voice of the customer’ and the ‘voice of the market’ is influencing product development and go-to-market plans by channeling back feedback, market dynamics and competitive intelligence.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Product:
• Influence product development by channelling back customer feedback, market dynamics and competitive intelligence to technical teams
• Manage the impact of local platform migrations
• Drive innovation and differentiation across the group of products

Customer:
• Gather and prioritize client, prospect and market feedback, building a comprehensive understanding of client and market needs
• Own Customer Excellence for the group of products, working with other teams to improve the overall customer experience
• Take ongoing responsibility for defining and delivering a compelling customer proposition to the EMEA market

Commercial:
• Participate in revenue planning and pricing decisions
• Develop product definitions, concept proposals and business cases which result in marketable products and services.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and other Product teams to define and execute strategies for maximizing new sales, up-sell and retention


Key Relationships:

• Reports to Director, Commercial Strategy & Product Management, EMEA
• Key external relationships: EMEA customer base; EMEA prospects and partners
• Key internal relationships: Thomson Reuters EMEA Product, Sales and Services teams; Thomson Reuters US based Product Managers

Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:

Essential Skills:

• Strong commercial acumen with an ability to ‘think like a customer’
• Knowledge / Exposure to the tax and accounting profession
• Proven track record of supporting new business sales achievement (direct selling/ pre-sales/ product marketing)
• Track record of successful project management
• Ability to facilitate and present formal presentations at the executive level
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for liaison with external customers and internal staff at all levels
• Highly motivated with ability to drive results

Desired Skills:

• Hands on Indirect Tax (VAT/ GST) experience
• Experience of market segmentation and financial analysis
• Experience of client support, product development or consultancy
• Professional Qualifications (e.g. ACA, CTA, CIMA, etc.)
