My client is a leading specialist international CPA firm with offices in over 40 countries, over 4000 staff worldwide and 200 staff based in the USA.
Due to continued growth of their international tax offering they seek to hire an international tax consulting manager for their Houston office who will focus on US inbound consulting for medium to large corporations who are headquartered across Europe.
The firms Houston office has a 'start-up' feel to it so you will need to have a self-starter attitude, be a visionary and an entrepreneurial inclination to help not only the international tax group but also the wider office identify client opportunities.
You will have at least 5 years international tax experience with a focus on US inbound work structuring options for overseas companies investing in the US and the relevant tax compliance considerations etc. You will also have some US domestic tax experience (state, local, federal), tax treaties, and understand the basics of transfer pricing. You will be familiar with operating in a client facing role where you are comfortable explaining technical matters in a language clients will understand.
A CPA is highly desirable but the firm will also consider individuals with an Enrolled Agent license. German language skills would be highly desirable as the firm has a significant number of German clientele.
Partnership track is a strong possibility as the firm encourages it's staff to develop new products and take a very hands on approach to the development of their own career.
