My client is a leading professionals services/Big 4 firm in the heart of London.
They currently seek Senior Associate level professionals to help them further support the growth of the business.
What you will do:
* Oversee hedge fund and private equity US tax compliance process for your clients with appropriate consideration of risk, operational, and tax technical issues;
* Contribute to tax consulting projects;
* Research and explain impact of current and proposed US tax legislation to asset management clients;
* Coach staff members and share experience and knowledge with them.
What you will need:
* Current CPA or EA qualification preferred (if qualifications not completed, progress towards a CPA or EA is necessary) or;
* Masters degree in accounting or taxation (or equivalent);
* Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player;
* Background in financial services, ideally working with hedge fund and private equity clients in a US tax capacity;
* Experience reviewing partnership allocations (including and understanding of revaluation accounts)
* Experience with hedge fund securities analysis tools;
* Experience in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns and Schedules K-1;
* Knowledge of corporate and international tax returns and related US tax laws;
* In-depth knowledge of Go Systems tax preparation software;
* Experience working in cross-border teams;
* Excellent time management skills; and
* Willingness to learn new concepts with minimal guidance.
