A professional services firm in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Tax Compliance, Planning and Research Manger to their growing staff. In this role, the Tax Compliance, Planning and Research Manger will be responsible for supervising and reviewing preparation of Federal and State and Local income tax returns.

The Senior Federal Tax Manager will be responsible for:
Analyzing financial statements
Interfacing with the Accounting Group and other data providers
Interfacing with and advise internal stakeholders
Calculating foreign source income and foreign tax credits
Supervising the preparation of current and deferred income tax provisions
Managing Federal and State income tax audits
Tax research and planning
Implementation of planning structures, interface with clients and outside advisors (foreign and domestic) re implementation matters and supervision/project management re the same
Supervising professional staff in respect of research and tax planning matters, including preparation and review of research product and related memoranda
Identification and resolution of issues
REQUIRED SKILLS
12+ years of Public Accounting and/or Private Industry experience
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Solid Tax background (Compliance; Corporate; Research & Planning)
Microsoft Excel proficient
Solid analytical and research skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
Desired Skills
Master's Degree in Taxation
CPA and/or JD
