This global IT group has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Manager/Director to lead a large team of tax specialists responsible for the operational, compliance and advisory obligations for the group in the APAC region.
You will be responsible for:
- leading the APAC Indirect Taxes function and working closely with CorporateTax Advisory and global team members, ensuring team engagement and satisfaction
- the team members collaborating closely with business finance teams
- ensuring all indirect tax obligations in the region are met and being co-responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with all tax authorities
- identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
- developing and maintaining a rigorous internal indirect tax risk review programme for the region
- maintaining a documented process of reviews for all indirect tax returns;
- managing an ongoing VAT training program for the region.
To be successful for this role you will have:
- A qualified accountant and/or tax advisor
- Have a commercial mindset and a strong background in indirect taxes compliance in the technology sector
- excellent oral and written skills with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- experience in developing and managing process improvement projects
- confidence, self-motivation, flexibility with a high level of energy and commitment
- strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills
