US Tax Specialist - In-house

A leading fund manager with global exposure has created a new role due to expansion and growth. The focus of the role is US tax compliance and advisory work and you will be exposed and expected to work on high level projects and processes.

Detailed Responsibilities.

- Compliance responsibilities include the preparation of all US federal and state returns for the group`s management entities with appropriate oversight from third party service providers,
- To seek out ideas and opportunities to ensure the groups commercial and fund activities are efficiently managed from a US taxation perspective.
- Overall responsibility for all group indirect tax filings.
- Support in the management of the US and other international tax accounting processes, including current and deferred taxation and related disclosures in financial statements.
-Manage the US tax reporting and tax return filing process for all of the groups funds.
- Liaison and management of third party taxation advisors (lawyers and accountants) ensuring value for money services delivered.
- Provide assistance with the preparation of all UK tax returns with the appropriate supervision from other members of the tax team.'
Technical Skills/Background Required
- A seasoned tax specialist with a proven track record and experience of US tax compliance programmes in international groups.
- Likely to be a Certified Public Accountant- likely minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
- Experience of the fund management sector is essential.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to understand complex structures and transactions.
- Attention to detail and a `right first time` approach.
