An unusual opportunity to develop your career in trust and private tax within a large IFA practice in Leeds. In this role you will deal with trust accounting, administration and tax and will advise on a wide range of private client issues such as Wills, IHT, CGT and income tax. Ideally you will be STEP qualified or studying towards it, other relevant qualifications such as ATT and CTA considered. Day to day you role will involve:

* Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes, as required.
Provide advice on Wills, IHT, CGT and IT to clients referred to the department for this work.
* To manage a case load of clients effectively. To communicate effectively with all parties, ensure excellent customer service, and work to acceptable service standards.
* To deal promptly with referrals into the department and to be able to meet with, advise and report to clients on strategies to save tax and/or to protect family wealth.
* To be proactive in identifying new opportunities and attend networking and other corporate events to develop relationships with other potential referrers.
* To adhere to Departmental procedures at all times.
* Liaise with other departments and assist colleagues to maintain and improve all client relationships.
* Complete all supporting documentation accurately. Ensure that client files are maintained in good order with a full audit trail.
* If not already qualified, to study for the relevant qualification (Foundation followed by Diploma) of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) with a view to obtaining full membership of STEP in due course.
* Via self-assessment and feedback, identify CPD needs to maintain this and any other relevant professional qualification held, and enhance and undertake appropriate activity to meet those needs and comply with appropriate CPD requirements.

It is likely that you will have trained in an accountancy firm or law firm and that you will be looking to develop your career in trust work. Our client will consider a range of levels from experienced senior or trust accountant to experienced manager.
