Personal Tax Manager, Borders

Our client is a well regarded independent firm based in the Scottish Borders. This role is for a personal tax manager and would involve working in their personal tax team, dealing with computerised Self Assessment Tax Returns for a portfolio of diverse personal and partnership tax clients, advising clients on tax liabilities and liaising with HMRC and third parties, in relation to the tax affairs of clients.
For suitable applicants, there would also be an advisory aspect to the role, assisting the partners in providing tax advice to clients, including high net worth individuals, trustees, business owners, farmers, landowners and partnerships.

Applicants should have experience in a tax role, an aptitude and desire to develop tax technical knowledge, together with strong literacy and interpersonal skills to allow communication to clients of complex technical issues.
Formal tax or accountancy qualifications would be beneficial and study support for further relevant professional qualifications would be considered.
