Our client is a large accountancy firm. They seek an expatriate tax specialist with proven advisory experience to join their Midlands practice, this role could be based in the East or West Midlands.
You might currently work in-house or even in a more HR focused role but will need experience of advising on HR policy regarding set up of offices overseas and in the UK. Of staffing of offices and double tax treaties, consideration of broader business issues such as creation of permanent establishments and the impact of this on other areas of tax. An understanding of home and local contracts and the ability to write and review reports. You will work closely with colleagues in areas such as transfer pricing and international corporate tax to provide a joined up service - advising businesses on all the implications of their moves within the UK and overseas. Along side technical work you will help manage a team and will be actively involved in business development. This is as we say ' a cracking role' there is plenty of scope for progression to director and potentially to partner. This could suit an ambitious senior manager from London who is looking a role with sound prospects. Relocation assistance considered. You will need UK experience (ideally trained in the UK) but this practice will consider someone looking to return to the UK.
