Accounts Semi-Senior role within reputable independent accountancy firm in Wolverhampton

Your new company
Well established independent accountancy firm in the Wolverhampton area seeking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior following internal promotion within the team. The firm offer a range of accounting services including audit and tax - this role will be within the accounts team working with support from more senior members of the team.

Your new role
Working with clients ranging in size from smaller sole traders through to larger limited companies, in this role you will prepare statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, undertaking some bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and VAT returns. You will use a range of accounting systems and will be confidently able to liaise effectively with clients over the phone, via email and in person.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have gained a solid grounding in an accountancy practice gaining knowledge and experience of accounting principals including double entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation. You will have at least 18 months experience in such a role. An AAT studier or someone starting towards ACCA studies would be ideal however for someone with the right experience there is flexibility on qualifications.
Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate confident systems skills using accounting packages such as Xero and Sage alongside excellent communication skills.
