This is a rare and exciting opportunity to establish and head a new family office venture in London. This high net worth, European family with head office operations in Monaco has recently sourced new office premises in central London and is looking for a credible and experienced professional to lead the operation.
The back office functions have previously been outsourced so the establishment of a family office in the UK will allow outsourced functions to be brought in-house. This is a terrifically broad ranging role which will encompass the recruitment and management of a team of approximately 12 to handle trusts (offshore) and accounting, compliance and administration, risk and legal.
The expectation is that the UK office will operate with a high degree of autonomy, so the head of family office will be key to its success. A broad range of skills and experience covering corporate and trust administration and finance will be essential to enable you to provide effective strategic oversight. Strong people skills are a must with the ability to recruit, motivate and lead your team as well as fostering key relationships with financiers, lawyers and other professional advisers. Prior experience of establishing and running an effective office function will be very attractive.
