Assistant Manager - Tax Technical
Within this well known full service practice, you will support the National Director of Tax and Senior Manager in Tax Technical providing tax technical support across all national offices. This is a great role to become embedded within this well respected firm, and become the expert on all things tax
Reading / Thames Valley
The role
* Internal resource for the firm - not client facing
* Provide support and tax technical support across the practice nationally
* Keep the practice up to date on technical changes
* Ensure the tax practice has the technical, training, information sources and knowledge to provide excellent advice
* Will cover knowledge management, standardising documents and risk management
* Become the Tax Technology expert on joint projects
* Any other areas of interest can be discussed and incorporated
About you
In order to succeed in this challenging role, it is expected that you will have:
* CTA qualified
* 3 years tax experience - mixed tax, corporate tax, or private client background
* Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments to agreed deadlines
* Confident in dealing with unfamiliar tax issues, with plenty of support from the rest of the team, and enthusiastic about continuing to learn
* Strong relationship-building skills; able to inspire trust from colleagues.
* Interested in how technology can be used within tax
