Privacy Analyst – Data Protection– London
Fixed term contract for 6 months

About the role

Award-winning Tax Consultancy, Ryan is seeking to recruit a Privacy Analyst to support the integration of the One Trust platform. The Privacy Analyst will be responsible for integrating key processes such as Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) into business processes. . You will work with the legal and IT team, in London and US time zones, to provide guidance and effect business transformation by assisting with embedding the core principles of privacy by design and privacy by default into aspects of the group, its operations and technology to help continue to deliver our data protection programme. You will communicate with business stakeholders and with our third-party technology solution provider to implement the governance tool, improve and perform assessments, data mapping, data inventory and data flows amongst other duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews client engagement agreements and related documents (e.g., confidentiality Working collaboratively with different teams and Practices within Ryan to achieve project outcomes
• Develops and provides education and coaching to elevate project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to meet project requirements
• Engage with internal business stakeholders in a project management capacity
Client:
• Being a proactive advocate and ambassador for the Privacy Programme across the business and push for delivery.
• Escalates and manages project issues and risks to the appropriate stakeholders with clarity, timeliness, and professionalism
• Partners with internal and cross-functional stakeholders and team members to effectively prioritize, plan and organize the completion of project milestones and work
• Tracks progress and provides timely status reporting to initiative owners, key stakeholders, and leadership
Value:
• Creates profiles for vendors and clients mapping data rights, international transfers and limitations
• Helps the business to understand the benefits of improved compliance, reduced risk, improved contract management by implementation of new practices and a governance tool
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in legal research or project analyst role
• Experience of writing and proof-reading reports.
• Experience using the One Trust platform
• Previous experience in Professional Services (desirable)

Essential Skills Required:

• Project Analyst experience with familiarity with privacy and security laws and standards
• Demonstrates ability to work on cross-functional projects with tight deadlines
• Able to communicate with stakeholders and to translate complex technical issues
• Ensuring all projects adhere to Information Security governance requirements as well as company Policies
• Strong drive for results and continuous improvement
• Outstanding organizational, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Certificates and Licenses:

• CIPP/e or CIPP Certified
