Corporate Tax Manager (Interim)

Our client, a FTSE100 organisation in the utilities space, are actively seeking a UK Corporate Tax Manager on a 12-month contract. Reporting into the Head of UK Tax, you will be responsible for a mixture of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting duties. Responsibilities:

Manage the corporate tax compliance programme, including:

Preparing corporate tax returns for a portfolio of UK companies.
*

Handling budgeting and quarterly forecasting for these companies.
*

Creating tax disclosures for annual statutory and management accounts, including evaluating the tax impact of accounting changes.

*

Maintain tax risk procedures to mitigate uncertain tax liabilities in line with the company's Tax Risk Management Strategy.
*

Assist the Tax team with year-end processes, including journaling, settlements, and disclosures (e.g., TTC, CBCR).
*

Support departmental risk management processes, including the annual Senior Accounting Officer reporting and other CFO risk or business continuity initiatives.
*

Facilitate the transition of the tax function towards full digitisation and readiness for Making Tax Digital for Corporation Tax.
*

Collaborate with the Senior Corporate Tax Manager to ensure business development activities and growth strategies are backed by appropriate tax advice.
*

Serve as an advisor and partner to the business on corporate tax matters, maintaining close links to identify and address potential issues early on.

Qualifications:

Recognised accountancy and/or tax qualification.
*

Extensive knowledge of UK Corporation Tax.
*

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
