A FTSE250 company has an excellent opportunity as Assistant VAT Manager. The role will combine compliance and advisory elements. Compliance will focus upon preparation of monthly/ quarterly UK VAT returns, preparation and submission of non-UK returns and dealing with any HMRC queries as they arise. Alongside this you will provide practical advice to the whole UK business, ad hoc project work and training junior staff. You will have an excellent base of UK VAT knowledge gained working in a large organization, European VAT knowledge and SAP experience is also desired but not essential. You will need to be driven, able to adapt to challenges as they arise and be an excellent communicator.
