This award winning Big 4 firm seeks a VAT manager to undertake a varied role which will include exposure to all of the main indirect taxes including VAT, customs duties, insurance premium tax and increasingly environmental taxes. You will based in their offices in Edinburgh and your responsibilities will include:
Leading business development initiatives and contributing to winning new work;
Managing a portfolio of work, reporting directly to a director or partner;
Developing less experienced staff;
Cross selling within the firm and;
Identifying planning opportunities.
You should be ATT or CTA qualified with prior VAT experience gained within an accountancy firm or HM Revenue & Customs. You must also have an interest in undertaking business development work and therefore enjoy regular face to face client contact.
