Based in both the East & West Midlands, our client is keen on expanding their indirect team.
In addition to relevant experience, the candidate will need to possess and demonstrate a broader range of capabilities and skills, including:
Extensive VAT knowledge;
Strong analytical skills;
Good understanding of Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and VAT accounting;
Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
Energy and enthusiasm along with an ambition and a strong desire to succeed;
Excellent planning and project management skills;
Willingness to demonstrably support colleagues, and contribute to the wider internal contacts; and Ability to flex style.
Responsibilities on a day to day basis responsibilities will include:
Monitoring the workflow against agreed timelines;
Ensuring high quality service delivery to our clients;
Technical and quality review of draft VAT returns and related outputs;
Responsibility for managing delivery against contract budget;
Managing the VAT compliance relationship with the client;
Interpreting and resolving client queries on multi territory VAT issues;
Responsibility for the development and appraisal of junior staff;
Coaching junior staff on VAT technical issues;
