This global market-leader is seeking a talented Assistant Manager to join their indirect tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to being your in-house career within an exciting brand and in a role offering excellent commercial exposure.
The Role
* Timely submission of accurate VAT returns and payments
* Provision of timely advice and guidance on relevant VAT issues in response to changes in legislation, contract and transactional queries from businesses.
* Identification of tax risks and providing recommendations for remedial action, assisting with the preparation and presentation of training requirements.
* Support the VAT Senior Manager in reviewing the set up and tax determination of accounting systems, contributing to process improvements
* Work with the VAT team on the implementation of large scale European and UK indirect tax projects and taking responsibility for the management and delivery of local projects and initiatives.
* Assist in resolving Tax Authority audits and enquiries
* Implementation of appropriate indirect tax planning and cashflow optimisation strategies, disseminating opportunities and facilitating the roll out across the UK
Qualifications/Experience required
* ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent
* Experience of working within VAT
* Excellent communication skills
