Hays Senior Finance, Professional Practice are recruiting an Accounts Assistant and VAT specialist for a firm of chartered accountants in Norwich.
The duties of the role will be to;
* Provide guidance and support to portfolio holders and partners to ensure appropriate compliance on VAT in their client detailing, through discussion, advice and review of computations
* To provide consultancy advice on VAT planning for clients
* To add value and use innovation where possible, whether directly or indirectly, for example through streamlining procedures, cross-selling, delivering a continually higher quality of client service
* To research and maintain technical information for use in advising staff on client affairs, as well as to contribute to technical intelligence, briefings and technical training, delivered internally.
* To achieve and exceed individual agreed objectives as part of successfully delivering the groups operational plan.
To be successful you will be ACA/ACCA qualified and ideally experienced in VAT, via exposure on corporate client affairs or from HMRC office experience.
