Opportunity to work for an iconic multi-national retailer. Within this role, you will be working in the group tax team for this household name. As part of the tax team you will ensure that the Group complies with its statutory tax and financial reporting obligations and that value is created in a sustainable way.
The Role
Compliance with the Group's UK corporation tax obligations (e.g. preparation and review of tax returns, calculation of quarterly instalment payments)
Communicating with HMRC on a range of issues.
Helping to ensure that robust processes and controls are maintained in respect of UK tax compliance
Contributing to the management of the Group's tax financial reporting obligations.
Monitoring and managing tax risks in the overseas group.
Proactively identifying/appraising tax issues and opportunities including preparation of any necessary board/director recommendation or approval papers.
About you
ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent. Extensive and recent knowledge of UK Corporate tax legislation. Good knowledge of key overseas tax issues affecting a UK multinational operating overseas. Statutory and regulatory financial reporting.We request applications to be submitted in a word format only.
