A leading mid-tier Chartered Accountancy and Business Advisory firm require a technical officer to report to the Partner in National Tax and work closely with the firm's Head of Tax and specialist group and sub-group Heads.
The principal responsibility of the Technical Officer is to ensure an up to date knowledge (including details of legislative proposals, consultations etc.) in respect of tax law and practice in their allocated specialist area(s) in order that National Tax is in a position to support the issue of appropriate guidance on technical issues that impact on the Tax Faculty and the firm's business and clients.
The successful candidate will possess:
* A suitable technical qualification.
* Outstanding technical and research skills in their allocated specialist area(s).
* The ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing to a variety of audiences, ranging from the technically advanced to non-tax specialists. In particular, the successful candidate should have experience of article writing for public consumption, including the trade and financial press.
* The ability to manage projects to ensure delivery of own and others' work within agreed, often short, timeframes.
