This position with a well known and expanding firm in Southampton has come about through continued business growth and the successful tendering for business in the local market.
The ideal candidate for this role will be qualified with one of the Tax or Accounting bodies or have the equivalent experience. They will have had experience within a practice tax department for at least 2 years and be capable of liaising and building relationships with clients.
The successful candidate will have experience and capability in the following areas
Corporation Tax - Preparation/Review of computations, returns, additional tax pages (loss carry backs, group relief claims, s419 charges) and general assistance as required
Personal and Partnership Tax - assist the Personal Tax Senior in the preparation of personal tax returns prior to review, undertake partnership tax reviews as required, ancillary duties required during the undertaking of this work
Additional Duties and Responsibilities - assistance with project work, basic involvement with CIS applications, VAT de-registrations etc as required,. Help manage team workload and deadlines. Identify cross-selling opportunities and generally assist managers with adhoc assignments as required.
