A financial services company is looking to add a Tax Senior - Lead Analyst (SVP) to their team of professionals. The individual in this role is responsible for establishing a tax financial reporting process for income tax related to Non-U.S. operations as well as standardizing income tax procedures for common situations.

The Tax Senior - Lead Analyst (SVP) is responsible for:
Isolating and identifying the difficult issues related to foreign provision process
Designing and implementing consistent policies and procedures around income tax controls that is sustainable and reliable
Providing leadership in the coordination and development of new Non-U.S. income tax provision package by conducting regional training
Providing leadership in implementation of Non-U.S. income tax provision package with ability to carry it out from inception to completion
Driving process improvements by identifying automations opportunities necessary to facilitate and streamline the preparation of the tax provision
Ensuring quality, accurate, and timely reporting of tax accounting activities
Providing ASC740 technical guidance to International Tax Advisory and International Tax Compliance groups related to Non-U.S. operations
Reviewing Non-U.S. tax provisions for SepCo audited financial statement groups
Reviewing regional ETR analysis and understand the perm and discrete items per region
Ensuring all income tax related accounts, including current and deferred income taxes and non-creditable taxes, are properly reconciled and reviewed in accordance with ASC740
Participating in global forecasting and budgeting process, including analysis of ETR and tax assumptions utilized in the process
Assisting in U.S. Non-U.S. tax compliance filing; this includes but not limited to review of Form 5471, 8858, 8865, etc.
Reviewing UI balances of entities to confirm DAU’s annual accrual is reasonable in comparison to the balance sheet approach accomplished via outside basis studies
Reviewing tax transactions to determine impact to worldwide tax provision
8+ years of progressive experience in tax accounting (FAS 109) with U.S.-based multinational financial services companies and/or public
BBA in Accounting
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740
Exp must include preparation, review, and analysis of income tax provisions and footnotes, and SOX 404
