Within this consulting team, there is an emphasis on tax planning projects and advisory work. Typical projects may include UK and international income and capital tax planning, often incorporating trust structures. In addition, the team specialise in advising individuals, including management teams, on shareholder tax issues with particular emphasis on transaction situations.
As you would expect from a top firm, the team has strong links with national private client specialists nationally and internationally. All grades are encouraged to contribute and this role offers a fantastic opportunity for personal development.
The Role
Candidates should be interested in being an all-round business adviser who enjoys building a relationship with clients, providing them with a pro-active service giving them innovative and commercial tax solutions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical research and report writing – including original research (review and interpretation of the legislation) and tailoring specific planning ideas to meet an individual client's needs and circumstances.
Developing client and intermediary relationships, managing and controlling deliverables and deadlines and handling day-to-day queries.
Managing some tax return compliance, although the role will be advisory focused.
New business generation – including problem solving for business/client specific ideas and solutions; involvement in networking events, proposal meetings and marketing seminars; and managing introductions to other parts of the firm.
Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
Ideally, you will be ACA, ACCA, CTA or legally/revenue qualified to take advantage of this opportunity.
