The Southern Africa Tax Team is responsible for all aspects of tax compliance, tax planning and business support, and statutory and internal tax reporting in respect of Southern Africa.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Lead a team of tax professionals and provide coaching and development support to the team;
Manage the return preparation, filing and tax payment requirements in respect of all Group activities within Southern Africa;
Manage key relationships with the fiscal authorities and progress and close fiscal audits;
Provide proactive tax advice and support to the Business and other Functional teams within Southern Africa;
Proactively maintain and develop key relationships within Southern Africa ensuring alignment between Business and Tax needs;
Manage all tax forecasting and reporting requirements, working closely with the Finance teams to maintain a strong control environment in respect of tax reporting matters;
Represent the Group’s tax interests at external industry groups, e.g. SAPIA;
Effective tax risk management in respect of all Southern African activities;
Resource planning and management of priorities within the Southern Africa Tax Team;
Participation in the wider Tax community - sharing knowledge and ideas.
