The Role
- Compliance with the Group's UK corporation tax obligations (e.g. preparation and review of tax returns, calculation of quarterly instalment payments)
- Communicating with HMRC on a range of issues including assistance with the active management of disputes and litigation.
- Helping to ensure that robust processes and controls are maintained in respect of UK tax compliance
- Contributing to the management of the Group's tax financial reporting obligations.
- Monitoring and managing tax risks in the overseas group.
- Proactively identifying/appraising tax issues and opportunities
- Actively managing the implementation of approved tax strategies.
- Providing practical and timely advice to the commercial teams on the tax impact of specific business transactions (e.g. acquisitions/disposals, property acquisitions/disposals, overseas expansion).
- Maintaining excellent communications with the rest of the Business.
Qualifications/Experience required
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent
- Experience of UK corporate tax, including knowledge of tax accounting and reporting
- Experience of tax consolidations
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent team work skills
