Our client is a brand-name diversified global group who are looking for a Tax Manager to join their Melbourne office. You will be working with the regional Tax Manager to manage the tax function of a variety of Australian business units. Recognised as absolute leader in its industry, you will form part of a high-performance dedicated tax team as part of the greater finance group. The team is exceptionally well resourced and supported by the greater business, where tax is recognised as a key value-add function for all facets of operations. Our client is willing to remunerate at the top-of-market to ensure they secure the best tax talent in the country.
Role
The role will include:
- M&A project planning, including divestments, acquisitions and restructures.
- Technical research and advice in respect of transactions and ongoing issues.
- Review of tax compliance prepared by relative business units.
- Managing ATO audits and preparing responses to queries.
- Identification of process improvements for the tax function.
- Managing and identifying tax risks.
Our client will also provide full support for inter-state relocations to ensure the best talent is secured.
Experience
You will be CA qualified and have at least 4 years experience in a Big 4 or premium mid-tier accounting firm - or from another large corporate. You will have a proven history of success within a tax consulting and compliance environment.
