Needed to start at the beginning of January on an ongoing contract basis is a Tax Manager inside one of the largest transport companies within Europe; this huge UK based organisation is the parent company for some of the most reputation transport companies across the continent. You will be working directly with the Head of Tax & Treasury, based inside the North East London office.
You will primarily be responsible for coordinating individuals on various tax related projects, for example corporate tax issues, VAT group returns, as well as accountancy issues. Therefore it is necessary that individuals applying must have a mixed tax background in the corporate environment. They must also have attained positions prior of great responsibility and where coordination and communication have been prevalent in their success in the role.
Experience in a large and complex commercial organisation is vital to the candidate's background, which comes with the confidence, assertiveness and capability of getting grips with tax challenges across the board. This is a senior position and is as challenging as it is rewarding. Only the highest calibre of candidate need apply, with vast tax and project experience, combined with a ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification or equivalent.
