Typical projects you will work on include:
- Implementation of the tax dimensions of Solvency II, ranging from addressing tax assumptions in internal models; tax reporting; tax modelling; and supporting companies as they develop their lobbying position under teh current consultation process.
- Transaction support and structuring advice (e.g. business transfers, reinsurance arrangements, M&A work, advice on the treatment on long term insurance fund investments).
- Reviews of captive insurance arrangements.
- Transfer pricing projects.
- Delivery of technology-based tax solutions to insurance companies, for example to automate year-end reporting processes.
- Advice on policyholder tax issues.
- Participation in industry forums and consultation processes.
- Supporting life insurers in embedding compliance with the US FATCA regime within their "business as usual" operations.
